If They Only Knew
My life is just a dream, one of my own creation Praying no one learns of my depth of isolation.
I pick the perfect smile, a mischievous lil grin. Eyes that shine so bright, masking the pain within.
I find the softest glow, sweeping it across my cheeks, no on will ever know the secrets that I keep.
I must never forget my sweet infectious laugh, No desire to explain the sadness that I have.
With a final brush, every hair now into place, I look deeply within and see a strangers face.
Always being sure to show only what is best, the world will never know. No one would ever guess.
